| I believe I have seen that image prior. It's a great choice for the artbook. | |

| It's very similar to the poster. I guess this is the concept art version. That's probably why you find it familiar. It's a great concept though, so I like that they used it for the artbook as well. | |

| As you may have heard, it has been announced that, just like Soul and unlike Raya and the Last Dragon, Cruella or Black Widow, Luca will premiere exclusively on Disney+ at no extra charge. Here are also reactions to a preview of 30 minutes from the film shown to critics/bloggers: - Quote :
- Tonight we were able to preview roughly 30-min of #PixarLuca and WOW! While we cannot say anything, I think you’ll see how excited we are about the film in our spoiler-free reaction. (video)

- Got a 30 minute sneak peek at #LUCA. A bright, beautiful, imaginative, funny & fantastical coming-of-age tale about friendship, conquering fears & sea monsters that captures the spirit of a perfect Italian summer vacation. Jacob Tremblay & Jack Dylan Grazer are great guides.

- Just watched 30 minutes of Pixar's Luca. WOW! I was CRACKING UP (Vespas ). The visuals are absolutely stunning & the story so far is beyond heartwarming - currently DYING for more! Jacob Tremblay & Jack Dylan Grazer have great chemistry as Luca & Alberto right from the start..
As a mom, I can totally relate to Maya Rudolph's character. The scenes have me counting the moments until I can visit Italy in person. I cannot wait to see the rest of this charming story about going outside your comfort zone and enjoying the beauty of the world around you.
I am also pretty obsessed with Emma Berman's character, Giulia! Disney and Pixar's Luca is one to watch out for -- trust me! Coming exclusively to Disney+ on June 18th! Source: https://twitter.com/MamasGeeky/status/1375622190096338944

| Luka is the Pixar movie I've been most interested in since Toy Story 4. Very glad it will be available for free. | |

| Some updates: • More reactions to the 30 minutes of footage shown to critics/bloggers: https://www.dvdizzy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=33614&start=180#p747754People are describing Luca as charming and a love letter to Italy, and are especially praising the visuals, the humor, Jacob Tremblay's performance, and the friendship and chemistry between the two leads. There's only one critic who's not impressed with the film so far. It's the last reaction on the link. • A new book cover reveals that Massimo, Giulia's father, is missing an arm. Source: https://www.amazon.com/-/es/DK/dp/0744041279/ref=sr_1_7• New book covers from France: Sources: https://www.amazon.it/Disney-Pixar-Luca-Coloriage-coloriage/dp/2508050253/ref=sr_1_11https://www.amazon.it/Disney-Pixar-Luca-Vive-Coloriage/dp/2508050237/ref=sr_1_12https://www.amazon.it/Disney-Pixar-Luca-livret-gommettes/dp/2508050296/ref=sr_1_13https://www.amazon.it/Disney-Pixar-Luca-colorier-coloriage/dp/2508050229/ref=sr_1_14The last one shows that Ercole, the film's villain, has two friends. I guess one of them is the boy who was with him in the trailer. They don't seem to have too good intentions in this image. Also, Giulia is carrying something behind her bike; I wonder what it could be. And judging by the book he's holding, it seems Luca is interested in astronomy, right? • Some Luca T-shirts and sweatshirts have also appeared on Amazon (more here). One of them seems to reveal the cat is called Machiavelli. Source: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Pixar-Machiavelli-Portorosso-Sweatshirt-Black/dp/B08ZJPTMNB/ref=sr_1_3 (via Youtube) • Animation on the film has finished. This is the first Pixar film animated completely from home, right? If I'm not mistaken, most of the animation on Soul was made before lockdown. - Quote :
- It happened … We finaled the last animation shot this afternoon! Pazzesco. And all from home. It’s surreal and bittersweet.
Will miss the process. Enjoy a well deserved break Luca anim! Source: https://twitter.com/sketchcrawl/status/1373110718346584067• According to Matthew Melloni, the former editorial director of The Hollywood Reporter, Luca's and Soul's moves to Disney+ have been demoralizing for Pixar employees.• According to the director, there are no current plans of releasing a short alongside Luca. • He has also announced who's scoring the film: - Quote :
- We announce today Luca’s music composer: the amazing Dan Romer.
I’ve loved Dan’s work since his Beasts of the southern wild ost. The mixture of Italian inspiration and his unique style have been a pleasure to see come together.
I can’t wait for you to experience the score Dan dreamed up for our movie. Here’s some of his wonderful scores. https://open.spotify.com/artist/5ppJZFMF0gAfrHfZTGuHe4?si=LLxPPlvfRkOKqdi80X4eXA Source: https://twitter.com/sketchcrawl/status/1377789977019310081https://twitter.com/sketchcrawl/status/1377790391815000065

| For me, the appeal is the setting (I definitely get Call Me By Your Name vibes like just about everyone else on the Internet), plus the underwater transformations considering The Little Mermaid is my favorite movie. It is a pity they wouldn't go as far as making it a romance between the two boys (I thought at first that one of them would be human). | |
