That cover doesn't reveal much new, but it gives us a better look at the characters' clothes. They look like a mix of modern and old to me. Since apparently they've been living isolated from the rest of civilization for a long time, probably their fashion has evolved differently. Although, we still don't know when the film takes place, right?
By the way, I also found some new synopsis recently from Spanish books based on the movie:
Quote :
The Clades are a family of explorers living on Avalonia. When a mysterious plague begins to infect the crops of pando, the plant from which the energy that powers their world is extracted, three generations of Clades set out on an adventure that will change them forever. To discover the cause of the plague that is threatening their home, they will delve into the depths of a subway world full of dangers, but also of allies.
Something is happening in Avalonia. The pando plants, the material from which the energy that powers the world is extracted, are dying because of a mysterious plague. This is the story of the Clade family and their adventure to save their home.
The Clade family has dedicated their lives to the cultivation of pando, a plant from which energy is extracted. When a mysterious plague threatens the survival of that species, three generations of Clades plunge into an adventure inside Avalonia to find the cause and restore the balance.
A couple more. I guess the second one gives us our first look at the plants that make the city where Searcher and his family live prosperous. Part of the city can also be seen in the background.
Actually I think he beats Flynn. Flynn looked more attractive as a line drawing than in 3D. This guy seems to look equally scrumptious in 2D and 3D.
Personally, I think Tadashi, Hans, and Benja are all much cuter than that (and cuter than Flynn, too, for that matter). Whatever floats your boat.
The son's design is the only one of those shown in the trailer that I kind of liked to a degree, and even that one I wish was a little less exaggerated.
